No, masturbation is not a "bad habit." It is completely normal, and beneficial in a number of ways, for human beings. (Remember the old joke: 95% of men admit to masturbating; the other 5% are liars.) Most sources encourage it for both men and women (married or single) to get to know one's body and sexuality...and for its calming, relaxing effect. Many medical sources are now saying that releasing "excess" semen by masturbation is healthful, perhaps even possibly to the point of helping ward off cancer. Is there such a thing as OVERmasturbation? Not likely, assuming that it doesn't take over one's life entirely and cause one to neglect other interests and duties. And in fact, normally the body will prevent it because of the refractory period (temporary inability to achieve erection, orgasm, ejaculation at too short intervals). Do it, enjoy it. ~ But as for urethral pain, enlargement, and or/constriction (i.e., any sort of injury) it may be important to know whether you are circumcised. Circumcision ablates (removes) up to 20,000 pleasure-specific nerve endings in the foreskin, as well as always the ridged band (you can google it) and generally the pleasure-producing frenulum. Because of that, many circumcised men in order to achieve more stimulation to bring on orgasm rub across the relatively sensitive meatus (urethral opening) on each stroke. It is logical to assume that years of that type of friction might well result in urethral/meatal problems. It's worth considering, anyway. ~ Curvature of the penis due to years of masturbation with the same hand? It does seem logical and credible ("As the twig is bent, so grows the tree"), but the question appears to be infrequently brought up---and all sources which do, so far as I have seen, deny the possibility. Perhaps arguing against it are the statistics showing a relatively large number of straight penises...even though those men, too, without doubt indulge in masturbation.
I'd say this the more you masturbate it isn't good. I used too jack off up 2-3-4-5 times a day for months and I'll say Your penis start too lean deciding on the hand you use. Peeing becomes uncomfortable. The hand you use that side of your penis on the inside becomes less reactive to feels (example rub just your fingers up and down on the dominant side you masturbate and then on the side you don't you can feel the difference.) overall just stop masturbating in the long run you penis is healing
due to It being Un naturally erected and the moment you finally release your self too whatever gender you have sex with the feeling is un comparable too jerking off so take it from me honest stop jacking and you and your penis will feel a whole lot better and if it is curved and you stop jacking of course make sure you lean it when you can the opposite side and place it in your pants the opposite side of the lean and it'll come back straight just be dedicated and DON'T BEAT YOUR MEAT NO MATTER HOW FINE THE GIRL OR GUY IS!! Hope I help someone out in the world
Me too.. I was recently diagnosed of a UTI.. I had chills and back pains too... I took a test and completed my antibiotic course.. The infection was gone but i kinda masturbated weeks later and my urethra was burning me. I revisited the doctor, took a test but came negative of any bacterial.. A week later it went on its own only to return after 13 days.. This time i didn't masturbate cos i quitted cos of my previous experience...
It sounds like you have some type of urinary tract infection. Please see a Dr. I don’t think this is caused by masturbation, but once the urethra is irritated, nasturbation probably aggravates it. By the way, masturbation is a normal activity for men, women, young or old, so unless it’s excessive & interfering with other parts of your life, it’s not a problem.
I’ve burning in my urethra and frequent urinate what can cause this, and yes I masturbate a lot...(shame that I can’t control this anymore)
It happens to me when my bladder is too empty, an intense burning feeling. It makes me wanna urinate more to clear it, and that just prolongs the pain, feels better after a couple minutes if you just relax.
I have the same problem . Urethra had like a cut/bruise ,i blamed it on too much masterbation but innreality it was after masterbation. I use toilet paper or any kind of of tissue and go inside and clean it use to burn when ejaculating and pissing yellow pee when i was dehydrated but not clear or pale pee. So now i dont masterbate alot or go rough . Just soft pull and clean the outside and pee the inside out. Drink alot of water and turmic if you have inflammation
Dr how of me my urethra opening has enlarged (there is no pain) and am convinced its caused by me masturbeting it has really widened to an extent that its almost passing the lining well I was circumcised (a year and some 5 months back) and am wondering if it can be restored to its normmal size and how? And if am not headed for any further complexities
I am 45 and have masterbated since I was 14. I am not a medical professional. I was wondering myself if my masturbation habits could be a factor in the development of my urethral stricture and I guess at this point in my life, it's worth stopping masturbation to find out if the pain caused by urethral stricture ceases. I shall repost the results.
Unless the masturbation is quite aggressive I don't see how the urethra can be injured. A burning sensation is more likely to be due to prostatitis or urethritis unrelated to the masturbation. Some people stick things down their penises and depending on the object and the circumstances, that could cause some urethral irritation.
Interesting but what is the answer to the above question? "can the urethra be hurt from masturbation?"
Thanks
Hi,
Most urethral injuries occur in men. Common causes include pelvic fractures and straddle injuries. Rarely, urethral injuries can be self-inflicted when a person inserts a foreign object directly into the urethra. However, some injuries to the urethra are limited to bruising. Injury to the urethra can also tear the lining, resulting in leakage of urine into the tissues of the penis, scrotum, abdominal wall, or perineum. The most common symptoms include blood at the tip of the penis in men or the urethral opening in women, blood in the urine, an inability to urinate, and pain during urination.
Complications that can result from urethral injuries include infection, bleeding, permanent narrowing , erectile dysfunction, and uncontrollable loss of urine.
The diagnosis of a urethral injury is usually confirmed by retrograde urography, an x-ray taken after a radiopaque dye is instilled directly into the end of the urethra. At this point refrain from too much force. If it persists, it would be best to have this evaluated by your doctor or be referred to a urologist to rule out other causes.
Take care and regards.
