kidney stone problems

Hello
My background.
I am 6.2  34 male weight 100kilos was 90 and very active before this, Jan 08 this year I was rushed to hospital from work with pain in the back side and stomach, to keep a very very long story short under an xray and IVU they missed the stone but managed to spot it 3 weeks later. I had a 7mm son of bicth just out side the kidney. i had two shots of ESWL  one week a part and me trying to be over smart told them to turn up the juice so the eswl was given under (max voltage) or what ever frequency they use. The stone did not move or break i am certain it was laughing at me, and to make things worse i was going through a bitter divorce at the time, the the stone was on my wifes side. oh i forgot to mention i had what they call a jj stent going from the kidney to the bladder, the eswl failed. So in april somtime they done laser surgery and told me that they blasted the stone and in a couple of weeks they will remove the stent. which they did after they removed the stent some of my symptoms started all over again i also had kidney infection which was treated with medication, these symptoms are a burning sensation in the back noticable in the mornings when i wake up and also like someone droping hot wax around in my stomach region,(not into to hot wax thing) i have had A CT scan done a few weeks back, and guess what! i have a 3mm in my kidney. i dont want to go through all that again is there any thing else i can do? this stone could it have allways been there and was missed or is it possibly a new one? are the symptoms correct for this kind of condtion or could I HAVE SOMTHING ELSE WRONG? i also seem to be getting alot of pain in the side of my back where my spine is located could it be that something like my nervs and muscles are cramping those regions to my kidney and causing a blockage and then cousing the stone? oh i dont know sorry for all these questions but i am a point where i am going mad and trying to diagnose yourself on the net you end up thinking you got every problem and illness under the sun.
best regards Harry

Hello harry4444,

You are most likely having multiple stones, or a stone which is relatively large in size. Alternately, it must be a recurrence. You need to discuss about these three possibilties and reconsider an option of open surgery. I suggest you consult your urologist again.
