Hardened "vein" on top portion of penis.

This is my first time posting something like this online, but here goes nothing. I was recently masturbating in the morning(as I often do every few days or so) and upon reaching climax, I felt a quick pop and a slight, sharp pain on the top of my penis. After finishing, I noticed there was a vein-like protrusion there now. It is slightly hardened and it seems to start off at the base of the penis and starts to go straight up towards the head, but then it curves to the left and then back to the right(almost in a "C" like shape) before starting to straighten out again and then disappearing a bit below where the head of the penis starts. I have noticed the crooked "C" shape is right where my middle finger presses against shaft when masturbating and I have been thinking I may have been too rough and misaligned or torn a ligament or vein. The area is slightly swollen where the "C" shape has its curve and there is no real pain. It does feel very slightly agitated if touched too hard, but there really is no pain at all. While erect, the area becomes more noticeable and it seems a bit more agitated. It seems as though this is due to the added pressure from the erection. Again, even while erect, there is no noticeable pain or discomfort unless touched too roughly.

After doing all the research I could since the occurrence(about 3 1/2 days ago), I have found a few things that lead me to think I may have sprained or caused a ligament to become "crosshatched." Again there is no pain or discomfort at all when flaccid, and when erect it is just easier to agitate due to pressure, but no pain.

Again, I have never posted anything like this online before, but I would appreciate any professional input on my situation. My girlfriend and I are a little worried and she wanted me to try and get a direct opinion instead of just going off of ones other people have posted. I look forward to any help I may get. Thank you.

Hi there!

Prominent penile veins may occur normally or after trauma/ inflammation and unless hard may not be something to worry about. Avoiding trauma for a few days may help resolve the problem. However there is associated discomfort I would suggest an evaluation by a urologist for an accurate diagnosis and suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

I also forgot to add that there is absolutely no problems with my urination, erections, or ejaculation. No pain or abnormalities of any kind. Thanks again for any advice.
