How much did you weigh when you decided to have the surgery? How tall are you? What made you go for the surgery? Did diets and excersize not work for you? What was the surgery like? Painful recovery? How much do you eat? lol
As you can see, I have a lot of questions. I have always heard the surgery works and stuff but I have never actually met someone who had it done. Please tell all if you don't mind!
Thank you for posting and for being so willing to share your experience with the community. While I thought of having gastric bypass surgery, I elected to address the problems behind my eating behaviors as I was afraid that unless I fixed those issues, surgery would work temporarily and I would regain the weight due to my unhealthy relationship with food.
My cousin, had gastric bypass surgery and started out at 330 lbs. She lost down to 170-180 range and stayed there for a while. She even had a tummy tuck and looked fabulous! Then, slowly, her unhealthy relationship with food came back and she began regaining the weight. She was probably up about 70 pounds before addressing the need to pay attention and do something about it. She has now lost the weight again.
Hope you might consider staying tuned into the WL&D community as a way to develop and solidify the long-term behaviors to maintain the weight loss you are experiencing.
Very best wishes on your recovery and continued journey to health and fitness ..
