I have read Dr. Simeons' manuscript and according to him, it will not work. First of all, I'm not even sure the drops are as effective as the injections. Second, he clearly states that anything above 500 calories a day, anything protein deficient, and anything with significant amounts of starches will offset the diet entirely. His reasoning is that while your body is circulating "abnormal fat" around (with the help of HCG), the bloodstream can only hold 500 calories coming from you intestinal tract (the rest is being supplied from the abnormal fat), and when you eat more than that, the blood level has to rise to accommodate for the extra volume (even if it's only 100 calories). That rise in volume will make you gain weight rather than lose, and any large meals will set you back 3 days from what the original treatment would have done...
HCG was originally tested in India on overweight boys to see if it would eliminate their large hips and woman-like chests, and, even when they maintained a regular diet, it worked pretty well. So eating normally while taking HCG may move around some of your fat if you are badly disproportioned, but you will not lose weight.

Also, taking HCG is theoretically supposed to make you less hungry, but it may mean that you have less energy for exercising too.
However, I'm no expert and I have yet to try the HCG program, so you may want to contact a HCG practitioner if you are still interested.

You might try asking your question on the Weight Loss Alternatives, since we don't advocate that type of diet on this forum.  We prefer to take our weight loss journey the "old fashioned" way, which is implementing a sensible diet and moderate exercise.

If you have 180 pounds to lose, apparently you are quite heavy and an 800-900 calorie diet will be nothing more than a starvation diet for you.  Please feel free to read the posts here and see if you'd like to stick around with us.  There are tons of ideas and everyone is willing to help each other through the ups and downs of our journey.

Best of luck to you.
