Good morning. How is everyone doing this morning? I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. The weather is gorgeous here and I'm enjoying having the windows open, getting fresh air and sunshine into the house. It's too bad it can't stay like this all winter, but I'll certainly enjoy it as long as I can.
It's been really quiet here again, this week, although we've been busy. Yesterday, I met a friend for brunch to celebrate out Christmas together. It was great because the weather was perfect and we hadn't seen each other for several months.
COVID is rampant here again, so we have to be careful of where we go, who we see, etc. It's a bit scary, but so far we've been lucky.
I think I've done pretty good this week in the weight department. We went out to lunch 2 days during the week, and of course, yesterday's brunch with my friend. I've gained slightly less than 0.5 lb so I'm okay with that, considering that I retain so much fluid, as well. I'm trying to get in a bit more walking, even if it's just going outside and walking around the yard. I did actually walk uptown to the post office the other day. I hadn't walked uptown since last spring, so it was nice. This week, I'm also planning to dig out my weights and start doing a bit of weight lifting in order to help build muscles again. Of course, I'll start lightly and work up slowly.
