Hi, I'm down .3 of a pound from last week, itself down a tiny bit from the week prior. Obviously such small increments could mean anything, but I'll take the trend (tiny bits though it may be) as positive. :-) I credit eating lightly and the modicum of exercise offered by gardening.
My son and I have been opening boxes in our study, unpacking paper and art supplies that we packed up when we moved and then never got back to. We will probably give much of it away -- (if we haven't needed it since we moved, what are we doing with it?) But we did come up with a few things that I'll still keep. (For example, we don't need what seems like hundreds of colored pencils, but I did keep one high-quality set.) This is going to take forever, but it's good to have made a start...it's either this or we die with a bunch of boxes still packed up.
I got some dentistry done last week, and am looking at getting two crowns soon, much to my grumpiness. (I don't like getting crowns, or their cost. But one of my old crowns is obsolete, and a filling on another tooth is deep and the tooth is cracking, so it's time.) I refilled two prescriptions today, and think that's all the medical on my list for me this month, though my son has upcoming orthodontic, dental and eye appointments, and a checkup for doing sports. Summer is for catching up medical stuff, I guess!
We're still gardening a lot except that it has been too hot some days. Our youngest cat is now allowed to go outside (he's a year old already, we didn't hurry) and we let him out only when we're working in the yard, to keep an eye on him. So far the only stupid thing he does is try to catch bees. A condition of his being allowed outside was that he had to show he was aware of and afraid of cars going by, and he is definitely clearheaded about that. We aren't letting him out at night, though our adult cats are allowed out all they want, and in the summer often sleep all night on our porch bench.
Next to my dentist's office is a Pilates studio. I might step in and see about some beginner's classes. It's high time I exercise in a way that's more consistent and organized, and probably only joining a class will do it.
Have a great week!
