I think they need to be at least pureed. If you have an extension office or agriculture office, they should be able to tell you.
Sure, if you're just making sauce with them there should be no problem freezing them. They just lose their texture and shape when frozen, so don't try eating them whole.
u can freeze it up to a day have it for tomorrow lunch or maybe dinner. after that it should go to the bin coz it wouldnt be healthy
I've read that tomatoes can be frozen for up to about a month or so. BUT - make sure they are FROZEN and not just refrigerated; and once thawed they must be used immediately.
Since you have already cooked them I can't see why putting them in the fridge for a day will hurt.
thanks!! I ended up freezing them just overnight then thawed them out for maybe 10 min the next day and then started my sauce the sauce came out good, the tomatoes were OK, but it was still good.....so thanks again :)
