WeightWatchers - Anyone else? Nice to find some buddies....

I joined WW on Monday and am now 5.5lbs lighter today. I have been muddling thru previously, reading all sorts of conflicting info on the 'net as to which diet is best and have decided to bite the bullet and join as I have had success with WW before.
Just wanted to find anyone else on the plan really to swap ideas etc with, especially regarding snacks - I am a real snacker - mainly thru boredom. I am looking forward to getting the 'Boredom', 'Stress' booklets to read.
Have been suprised at how much you can actually eat if you choose the right things which is good for me as I seem to have a 'habit' of eating when I am doing certain things.
Anyway, am feeling very optimistic I can do this and will reach my target weight by Christmas. My tracker is going the right way again. :D

Ok I am game for that. I stopped going to the meetings though. I was getting discouraged with the weigh in every week.

I am still doing the point system and weighing myself at home where I can strip down. Seems to make a big difference.

Wow now that you ask I started out at 181.8 and I am down to 167.8 so I have lost 14 lbs total.  WW doesn't show that because I started then stopped going to the meetings and then switched meetings so according to WW I am only down like 2 lbs this time.

I don't care what they think I know how much I have lost and I still have lots more to go. Don't worry to much about going over one week you will do fine this week.

i wonder if maybe the intake is too low in calories as i know that can cause plateau/gain??
aparently i am 4.5lbs lighter not 5.5, everyone says this is good but i was expecting more as i am around 70lbs overweight and this was my first week on the lower 'fast start' allowance.
some people said in their experience they lost more after the first week? i dont know.
i went over too. on thursday i had 2 points over and on friday my hubby and i went out on the town where i went well over with alcohol points, had ham, egg and chips then later had a tuna subway footlong!!
i guess if i hadnt eaten/drunk all that **** i would have lost more.
will stick religiously this week, with no booze and see what happens,

how muc have u lost so far?

:)

I joined WW in January and even though I havent given up I haven't had the same results as others. I haven't lost this tremendous amount of weight on it and I stick to my points. I WAS sticking stricktly to my points allowance and not splurging avoiding all temptations and cravings. I WAS also exercising every morning and taking bike rides in the evenings and would get incredibly frustrated because I would go to a meeting and would only lose .2 lbs. How frustrating to feel like you are killing yourself and not see this wonderful difference at weigh in. So last week I took a week off. Not really but I didn't exercise and didn't stress the points. I still chose the healthy options over the non, but if I craved a candy bar I ate that candy bar. I allowed myself to have little bits of overage but not major.

Surprisingly enough I stepped on the scale Sunday morning and to my surprise I had lost 2 lbs!!!

So if I could give you any advice about WW and success then it is don't stress the weight loss as much.

Thanks. :D

I have my weigh in tonight. :0/

I have found myself ending up with low blood sugar I think - feeling sick, dizzy, generally unwell. Hope this will soon pass as I adjust?

I have all the books (joined before and couldn't stay with it.) I think WW is a great plan and helps teach us how to eat properly.

A friend said she would make me and another friend WW bracelets where you can keep track of your points on a bracelet every day. It's a constant reminder because you wear it. Have you ever seen one? There is a little clasp that you move along over beads. The beads are the points.

I put up a post on stress eating a while back. It's hard. I'm struggling too. Very much so lately. If I find any good hints, I'll let you know.

Good luck to you! You can do it!
