Yeah you need to eat to lose weight, otherwise your body starts wondering when its going to get fed properly again, so instead of breaking what it does get down and sending the stuff to be excreted it hoards it all and sends the fat enzymes to your vital organs to make sure they are protected. As the other poster said, 1000.1500 calories isn't nearly enough x

For weighing 298 lbs, 2100 calories is a lot  more reasonable than 1000-1500. If you're only eating 1000-1500 calories and are really burning 600-1000, you are leaving your body few, if any calories for energy. Your body knows there's not enough food coming in, so it won't let go of the fat stores.

Have you been tested for hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS?  All of these conditions will make weight loss very difficult, if not impossible

The first thing is that you aren't eating nearly enough calories for a person of your height and weight.  You're eating so few calories, that your body is probably storing fat, because there's not enough food coming in.

You have to calculate the number of calories you need daily, just to survive.  This is done, based on current weight, height, age and activity level.  Once you have that calculation, you can subtract off about 500 calories/day and that would be what you need to lose weight; or you can subtract 250 calories and use up an additional 250 calories.

And remember, not all calories are created equally....

You might also check with your doctor for some simple blood tests to determine whether or not you have hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, and/or PCOS...... any of these conditions will make weight loss nearly impossible.
