I would suggest you check with your doctor for any programs you might need to flaten the stomach. It might be a syndrome for any other diseases. I would also suggest you try to read the Essential Weight Loss Handbook for more information on how to increase your body's vitality and well being.

There are several health issues that can cause a a large stomach.  Have you been checked for diabetes and/or insulin resistance?  In addition, a lot of stress can cause excess cortisol, which also contributes to fat around the stomach.

You can't "spot reduce" but losing weight overall should help bring down the stomach.  I find that walking helps my arthritis considerably -- gets the kinks out - even though it's painful to get started, especially if I've been sitting for a while and am stiff.

Welcome to both you and toomi - we are a community in which we all strive to help each other with our weight loss journey.  We are here to provide motivation, support, sympathy and suggestions.  We're just getting ready to start a new challenge on Sunday -- you might want to check it out and join us............
