tired , over weight, absolutely no energy

I am resently coming off of a three year drinking binge where I gained 60 pounds and I feel it. I feel so un healthy I just need some good ideas to get this weight off. I work a lot of odd hours and with kids I really have no time for the gym right now. I do however have a treadmill and can use that most mornings before work and after the kids are in bed at night. Any suggestions would be great thank you.

When I started to workout after years of inactivity, I actually needed a nap afterwords! (Really) Maybe you should try it in the evenings after the kids are asleep in case it really tires you out.  Then, as time goes on, you can wake up early and use that as a boost of energy in the morning.

I do agree with the first comment that at first you will feel more tired than any energy! But hang in there-- I lost over 60 pounds and have somehow kept it off for 7 years now!!!  One thing I did that really help me fit exercise into my crazy work, school and kids plus a husband and church schedule was play with my children more...
we started taking walks after dinner almost everynight, and when I would take them to the park instead of sitting and gossiping with other mothers there or on my phone, I played with them. This has really brought me closer to them and I have set an example for  them of a healthy life style which makes me feel more of a mom!!
Also it was hard for me to diet with such a crazy schedule, so I eliminated all fast foods and soda, but of course once in a while that is our only option... so get a chicken sandwhich no fries or soda, plus when you eat at home try to cook low sodium products and never set the food on your table it will cause you and your children to eat more than you really need, serve the plates with small proportions and if you really are still hungry you can go back and get more, the same for your kids as well..
you can do, trust me!!! Just don't give up even when you mess up cuz y ou will... you'll break down and eat a whopper with extra cheese and then an ice cream, or you won't want to exercise and instead spend your whole day off sleeping!!! but that doesn't mean you have failed, but you are in a PROCESS..

Believe it or not but working out will help your energy level. But at first you will feel more tired then you will start noticing your energy level increasing. I would try to eat complete meals, small 6 times a day and start walking on treadmill 3 times a week for about 20 mins at a time then slowly increase after a few weeks and go from there. As you progress you will need to modify your diet and work out program but start with the basics.

Congradulations on your new begining. I will be here to help if you have any more questions.
