pregnant after abortion

Hi guys. I just want a little bit of help/advice.
I had an abortion just over 2 weeks ago and I was only 6 weeks gone so was able to have a medical abortion.  Since then me and my partner have been having sex. And today I have had a positive  pregnancy test. The line on this pregnancy test is much more prominent than the first test i done before the abortion.
Could I be pregnant again or could the test just be picking up hormones from my last pregnancy?
Thanks in advance

Hi there and welcome.

Agree that it is tough to say.  Is it left over hormones from the first pregnancy?  Are you absolutely sure that the medical abortion worked properly? Or are you pregnant again?  I think you need to go back to the doctor that prescribed abortion pill.

I would recommend, if you are not pregnant, that you get on really good, reliable birth control.  You'll feel better not having to worry about this or put yourself in this position.

If you are indeed pregnant again, it is up to you what you decide in terms of abortion, adoption or keeping the baby.  Every woman has to do what is best for themselves and their own situation.  Here to help if you need it.  hugs

That is tough to say I would go to a doctor immediately and have them do an ultrasound to be sure.

As for the abortion I really hope you and  your boyfriend decide to keep this baby if you are pregnant again. Remember you are creating life inside of you, that is a beautiful thing that you should not dismiss so easily. It is a growing baby, your baby and you should do what you can to care and protect your baby. If you decide to have another abortion I would recommend that you and your boyfriend take extra steps to prevent pregnancy like condoms and birth control. You both need to be more careful and cant keep aborting babies because you have another slip up (I hope that is not to mean but its the truth). Good Luck to you and if it isn't too much to ask keep us posted!
