It is possible you have Endometriosis and I would talk to your gyno about that.
They like to try putting you on the pill continuously to see if that stops the pain however if this has been a long term thing for you, you most likely would need an exploratory lap to have the Endo removed.
Sometimes the Endo is so bad it sticks to everything like glue like mine was. I had all my insides wrapped around my uterus. What she might have seen was possibly your ovary which is white which wouldnt be in that area unless it has been affected by Endo and or scar tissue.
Look up Endometriosis and let me know if this sounds like it is a possibility. You can also look at my journals and look at my one about my journey and see if you can relate to any of it. I had endo starting from my second period at 13 and it went untreated for 17 yrs causing serious damage inside.
Thank you very informative
Yes the cramps are most painful during the first day and sometimes the second day of my period. It's been like this for the most part but not always. And with sex, yes
Do you cramp when you have your periods? Was this always the case? Have you always had pain with sex?
Hello,
It looks like vulvodynia. Pain before and during menstrual periods are most likely due to premenstrual symptoms. Vulvodynia is burning discomfort, itching, throbbing, or tenderness in the genital region. Symptomatic treatment includes sitz-baths, anesthetic gels (lidocaine), topical steroid creams, pain relief medications like ibuprofen etc. Avoid any possible irritants including harsh soaps, chemicals, deodorants etc. Avoid coffee, alcohol etc. The last option would be laser surgery. Other causes of your symptoms include pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts, pelvic adhesions and endometriosis. For a confirmed diagnosis - you would need a clinical examination by an OBG specialist, blood tests and other tests to rule out an infection and hormonal causes; ultrasound scan to rule out the pelvic causes.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
