Any chance of pregnancy from fingering?

Me and my boyfriend have both agreed that we want to wait until marriage to have sex. However, we do other things. It has now been 3 months since my last period, and I was wondering if there was any chance that I could be pregnant? I mean, we're always careful (we take turns, and I always go first to ensure no semen gets near 'there'), however, people have a tendancy to get caught up in the moment and forget themselves. If he did have a small amount on his hands, would there be any possibility of me getting pregnant?
I'm not regular lately either because of the amount of stress I have trying to keep up with my studies (I'm 16 and studying at Sixth Form in the UK), and it hasn't been uncommon for me to miss my period by 2 months due to stress. I've also been ill for 6 weeks, with what seems like a common cold, but prolonged.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I'm just scared (understandably) but there has been no weight fluctuation yet, but though I have had no signs of pregnancy, I haven't had any signs of my period yet either... I'm just really confused.

Hello,

Although it's not very likely for you to get pregnant this way, it's not impossible - there is a slight chance.  Sperm does live outside the body for a short period of time but dies once it's has dried or been washed off or wiped up.  Very few pregnancies are achieved without actual intercourse involving penetration and ejaculation inside the vagina.
I would be careful and make sure he washes his hands thoroughly before inserting them anywhere near your vagina.
As far as your period - have you taken a home pregnancy test?  If not, I would start with that just to make sure but I would highly doubt it.  Sickness and stress are certainly a reason for delays in your periods.  If it continues though, I would think about seeing a doctor to find out why.
Good luck to you :)
