Oh my.  Okay, true story.  **Yours truly** worked in the lingerie department during college for a major department store.  I was trained to fit bras.  Okay, that consisted of an hour of an old lady telling me how to do it.  I sincerely doubt the bra person at your store knows what they are talking about.  If anything, a tight hold will keep you from sagging when you are older.  :>)  I wear sports bras and regular bras.  The sport bra keeps me from moving all sorts of ways.  Your nipples have a life time ahead of you to go through changes.  Wait til you have kids!  Holy nipple change!! They get bigger if you nurse.  Anyway, long story short, this sounds like rubbish and would not worry about it.

Not necessarily my nipples but the tops of my breasts are flatter than they used to be. I dont know whats happening but I want them to go back to how they were.
In all honesty, I don't think a sports bra will have any effect.  Binding breasts is one thing but that is extremely tight and sports bras are snug.  Try not to let the words of a bra salesperson affect you as the likelihood is they really don't know.  And girls criticizing you at school?  Anyway, if you don't want to wear a sports bra, don't wear one.  Free will for the choice of bra you want.  I like them as I don't like to bounce or have my breasts too noticeable.  But I'm way past the age of my self image being fragile and thinking I have to have big breasts to be sexy or valid.  :>)  Work on your inner self so you don't have these worries, really.  And yes, they can make you look a tiny bit flatter in shirts as regular bras often are made to push up the cleavage while sports bras are made for total support.  Buy the bra you like.
Okay thank you for your response.

Your growth? Or your nipples' ability to contract and stick out? My only complaint about the sport bra per se is that usually if my nipples happen to be sticking out, they find a way to go sideways because the front of the bra is so tight. But I don't think that is a long-lasting effect.

Ask your ob/gyn. Probably the lady at the bra store does not have a Ph.D. in anatomy.

My nipples seem to be in the right position but it seems as if the top of my breast are flatter instead of rounded like they used to be..... Girls at school often critcize me for having small boobs and its fustrating because they werent always like this. I dont know what to do.
Tell the girls at school that women are not measured by their breasts. Except by sexist jerk men. And are they planning on heading to a life where they feel obligated to keep up with the fetishes of sexist jerk men to get ahead?

Your breasts will change all your life, with weight gain, weight loss, body mass changes, and if you get pregnant. Embrace exactly who you are physically all the time. You will be more comfortable in your skin than your appearance-obsessed friends.
Thanks so much and will do.
