Birth Control info please.

I went to a gynecologist for the first time on Halloween because I had been having a horrible period it lasted for two and a half weeks and I would pass blood clots every time I moved on the couch and I had to use three super absorbent overnight pads and two normal overnight pads otherwise all of the blood would go through the pads and my underwear and stain my sheets or the couch cover, she tested me for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which she said I didn't have she said the only thing that was wrong with me was that my Thyroid was out of whack and she put me on Birth Control pills with progestin to help with my periods, it has 21 active blue pills and 7 inactive white pills well once I started to take my white pills which it told me to in the instructions I got my period well for the first few days it was light, but when I wiped it had a clear sort of mucus-like texture like what happens when you get aroused, but I wasn't. Now every time I stand I feel blood come out and when I go to the bathroom I pass like 2 or three blood clots/bloody tissue, is that normal? My next appointment isn't until January, oh and I also just got my new pack of birth control pills yesterday (December 20) after taking my last white pill and I took one of my active blue pills like it told me to in the instructions, how soon will this period go away and will my periods get lighter the more I use the Birth Control?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These symptoms are due to hormonal imbalance caused by the birth control pills. These symptoms should improve in the next three months of starting the birth control pills. If they persist then you should get a thorough examination done from a gynecologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

usually it will get lighter as it goes on. It depends on what you are on as to how light it will get.
