I'm having what only I can suggest is having contraction like pains

I'm a 16 year old virgin. I only get them when on my period and they keep coming, being really painful making me stop in my tracks making me bend my knees or tense up or something m then i go back as if nothing happend. What is going on?

My mum says this is normal but I want to double check. I'm really paranoid.

Many women do suffer intense period cramps that feel like this.  You can bring it up in your next well visit/physical with your doctor that you probably do every year.  Ibuprofen helps.  good luck
