Extreme pain under the right ribs and shoulder too during my cycle

Hi,

I have a severe pain just  under my right ribs and also shoulder on the first day of my periods.
It literally makes me immovable, unless I take an (aceclofenac + paracetamol).

To talk about the history, it started 2 years back. And used to be for just for half an hour etc., which gradually
increased to be there for the whole day. I never used to take pain killer but sprain spray was necessary.
Now, pain killer is my everything, at least for that particular day ( from last 8 months).

Many of the doctors not entertaining me.. like gynaec throwing me t ortho, and ortho bak to gyneic etc.
I got myself an ultrasound which was done in just 2 mins, and perfectly normal. Dont trust the scan done..

Could someone please suggest me, which doctor I can meet? An onologist or a general practitioner or a gynaec?
I cant bear this pain for one more month.. Its killing me.

Thanks.. I have this problem only during my periods. If its a gall bladder issue, does it get worsened during menstrual cycle?

Doesnt it mean that something around the diaphragm area is getting pressed during periods, leading to pain? I have done a whole abdomen USG recently but the doctor just finished it in 2 mins saying things r al right.

My problem is I dont find doctors who listen to my problem. They just want to solve it with pain killers..

My motion is good. Dont think constipation is the problem.
And its not the uterine area which aches. Its under the ribs towards right.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From your symptoms it makes sense to get an ultrasound gall bladder and a HIDA scan done. In many patients with biliary pain, particularly in patients with acute cholecystitis (gallbladder inflammation) fever, jaundice and abnormal liver enzymes may be present. It presents as pain under the ribs on the right side and referred pain radiating to the right shoulder as well.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Simple constipation is one possibility.

Try taking magnesium citrate every morning along with vitamin D 2000 IU and calcium at night.
