my hCG levels are high, I haven't had but 10 period in my life and I am 25 yrs old and started in 5th grade. Found out yesterday that my lining of the uterus is too thick and "fatty" because my ovaries are producing too much estrogen. he described it as driving, when the ovaries are going they press on the gas peddle which results in estrogen when then are stopped its more progesterone. which is why i cant get pregnant because the lining is too thick for the egg to attaching to the uterus. I also had an incident where it felt like "water breaking" inside of me like a water balloon when i got up blood gushed out of me bright red but then followed by very large blood clots. he said i could have been internally bleeding and that i am lucky I am alive because I didn't go to the ER right away. But don't quote me for legal reason but that is what my OB/GYN explained to me yesterday. I am now on megesterone 2x/day and need an IUD put it to get the hormones to shed the thick lining so I will be unable to get pregnant right now but in the future can take it out when the lining is thinned out and I am ready (more or less healthier) to get pregnant

What I meant by the last sentence is, "Otherwise, I don't know why hCG would show up in a woman's system.  So, if it is showing up, what has ruled out pregnancy in your case?"  I have recently read that sometimes a certain kind of tumor in men can cause the man to have hCG in his system, but I have not read that about women at all.  It seems like the only things that could put hCG in a woman's system are either getting it as a diet aid, or being pregs.

Not much.  You haven't been using hCG shots for dieting, have you?  Otherwise, why are you sure you aren't pregnant?
