PMS or early signs of pregnancy?

My husband and I aren't trying to conceive just yet (we just got married), but we would love a child! We do use condoms, but that is the only birth control we use. About two weeks ago (or a little less) I had some very light bleeding that lasted only half a day with a few cramps.. I didn't really think too much about it then. I am due to start my period any day now.. I had my period last month from the 6th-12th.The past week or so my breasts have been super sore and tender, around the time of my period I get sore breasts sometimes.. but never this sore. They feel heavier too.. it hurts to wear a bra.. and it hurts when I lay on them. My nipples are more sensitive. I am having slight cramps in what feels to be my uterus. I bought a new pair of jeans a little over a week ago and they fit perfect, not tight, and no "muffin top". I went to wear them for the first time two days ago and I couldn't button them! They are an inch from buttoning! I thought this was a little odd, so I took a cheap pregnancy test and it came back negative after 5min of waiting..I left it on the sink counter and went on with my day.. I came home a few hours later and there was a faint line where the positve side it... I was told by a friend that that is an evaporation line. not a positive result. I took another test the same day and it was negative. I'm not sure if this is just PMS or if this could be pregnancy and I just took the test too early. I would appreciate any information or experiences you have had. Thanks!

Sometimes the slight bleeding could be implantation bleeding, when the embryo implants itself into the uterus.  Its rather fascinating actually. But I had mistaked this for my period, just a lighter one and it only lasted 2 days. I thought woohoo best period ever!! I also had PMS like symptoms like breast tenderness. But the tenderness never went away like it normally did and two weeks later I found out I was pregnant. If you are still concerned, take another test or see a doc.

your friend is right you cant trust the first test. but you could also be just taking it to early the best thing to do would be to go get a test from a doctor/lab work. a really good friend of mine was pregnant for 4 months before she knew for sure because the pee sticks always were negative but finally she went to the doctor and they did a blood test and she was pregnant cant always trust the over the counter ones. go to the doctor hun.
