Painful vaginal fissure

I have what looks like a cut on the labia majora near the vaginal opening. The gynecologist said it was caused by a yeast infection. She gave me antibiotics and numbing cream for the pain. The infection went away but the cut hasn't healed. The 2nd time I saw her she gave me a different antibiotic. That was 7 months ago. The cut still hasn't healed. I can't see a new doctor because I no longer have insurance and we're struggling as it is paying for my anti-rejection medications (kidney transplant). I also have cyclic vomiting syndrome, but I doubt that is related. I just wanted to make sure it's understood that I have quite a history of health issues. The cut is painful and I have to use numbing medicine to function. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What a big pain this is!  We're sure it's just a fissure from the yeast infection?

Yup. That's what the gynecologist said. She did a culture from the cut and it came back as a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis. The infection cleared up but the cut is still there.

Yes, sounds like you definitely have a chronic issue.  Don't know if your medications are interfering with healing?  Good question for your doctor.  So, yeast is usually cleared by antifungal medication but they gave you antibiotics for the fissure?  It was infected?  Keeping hands off is important.   That area is slow to heal because it is always so moist.  what about a topical treatment, even some vasoline to keep it clean and then sleeping without underwear at night to aid in healing?  aloe vera gel can be soothing too.  Don't use harsh soap on it.  Take a multi vitamin and start to question why something won't heal to as related to your immune system.  If it is weakened in anyway.  Another trip to the doctor sounds like a good idea but understand money is tight with all you've had to go through!!  How is the kidney transplant healing going?

Kidney is fine. I've started not wearing underwear, been doing it for about a week. I've used the aloe Vera gel. I also use coconut oil and dermoplast (same thing new mothers use after labor) the combination of the two helps with the pain
