Pap smear and burning urination

Can pap smears cause burning urination afterwards?

Well, when they place the speculum, even when they lubricate it, it can stretch a bit.  Maybe you got a little abrasion from this and it hurts when urine hits it?  That's a possibility. But generally, pap smear doesn't cause issues.  If you burn WHILE you are peeing and it burns as the urine empties as well as you have frequent urination, you should get checked for  UTI.  But the pap smear would not cause this.  good luck
