Period won't stop

I started my period last week. It went on for the normal 5 days, stopped for a day . Now it's back again I have had it for almost 3 weeks now. I am very tired . Has it got something to do with the blood loss.

Your tiredness can definately be a result of the blood loss. Losing too much blood can cause anemia rating from mild to severe. Of you are noticing excessive fatigue and even easy bruising on your skin, you may want to start taking iron supplements and nd eat more iron enriched food. You may want to do and nd little research first though on which foods are better.  Extra iron will be good BUT too much iron can also cause issues.

Hi, you get emotional because now you have an iron deficiency from the prolounged bleeding (anemia). It is dangerous. This occured to me once and I ended up in the emergency room with needles in my arm and I had to stay there 3 days because I lost almost HALF OF MY BLOOD! Take it seriously, see a doctor and buy iron caplets. You may also feel very tired and with a faster heartbeat or starting to losing weight. MJ

I'm 18 and I've had my period for just over 3 weeks now. It was light for the first 2 weeks, but it got really heavy about a weeks ago. I've told my mum about it and she's taking me to the doctor tomorrow to find out what it is and to get blood tests to see if my iron is really low. I'm really worried that something is wrong. My periods have never been regular, but they've never lasted longer than 6-7 days.

It took me a year on the depo shot before my period stopped...I didn't have it for 10 years....Last year they took me off it as there were issues with my white blood cells....took a year and it came back...Everything is back to normal with my cell count so they just put me back on the depo last month...I assume I will have to wait another year for it to stop again...but it is worth it in the long run
