Oh, I'd get a second opinion. Are they masses that are hypoechoic? This with calcifications seems like it would be suspicious enough to warrent further investigation. Usually a mammogram gets a bi rad score if it is abnormal ---- numbers based on suspicion of cancer. I had a bi rad of 5 when I had calcifications with 6 being a certainty of cancer (0 is little worry of cancer). I didn't have cancer----- thank goodness. But do you know your bi rad score? They also have a great breast cancer forum here. go to the above where it says forums and hit that. On the left side are forums to ask questions in---- look for breast cancer. good luck dear
Hello,
The normal breast tissue is isoechoic on ultrasound; something with a lesser density would be hypoechoic and something with a higher density would be said to be hyperechoic. It can be a benign growth but you should get it evaluated from a gynecologist if the size increases on further ultrasounds. You may need a FNAB (fine needle aspiration biopsy) in that case.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing
