Regarding beta thalassemia

Hi,
My Gf has beta thallassemia as she is hiding this from me. I got to know this from her relative. We are planning to get married. But still she is hiding from me. I just want to know that if she is a carrier of the disease  and her hemoglobin count is 10  is this normal and preventable or a serious thing and one more thing she also had done blood transfusion recently.

So  I am bit confused and worried abt what to do. Plz suggest

I think it does not bode well that she is trying to hide this from her.

Sit her down and ask about her family medical history and her medical history.  If she lies to you, what else will she lie about?

You need to do some research. Here's a place to start:

She is definitely a carrier but if you are not you could have normal children. She may have continuing health problems however.

Good luck.
