What in the world?

So I have been dealing with a long list of symptoms for about 2 months now.  It all started when my period began lasting 2 weeks long and the bleeding was so bad that I was changing every hour for the first week.  3 months ago, when this started, I thought nothing of it, as I have experienced weird changes in my period when I was a teen and the doctor said it was normal for it to change.  When the next period came, the problems were worse.  Excessive cramping, the lymph nodes in my right groin became very swollen and my right tonsil was swollen and had the white tonsil stone things all over it.  This is when I called my doctor (this was about 2 months ago).  I was told she was very busy and I couldn't get in for 2 months (yesterday).  I said this was fine and impatiently waited as my symptoms tripled and worsened.  My stool was no longer 'normal' (a solid, medium brown form), but had become runny, very smelly and dark in color.  My stomach started hurting every day, along with my head and throat.  I began feeling like I had no energy at all, going up the stairs at home had become a chore.  My periods continued to last two weeks and the clots enormous.  About a week ago I noticed the middle of my nose was swollen and very sore to the touch.  I looked for any sort of blemish, spider bite or other odd hole (maybe an ingrown hair?) but there was nothing.  After a few days, I noticed on the inside of the right side of my left nostril there was a puss pocket.  I left this alone, but as days went by it grew and finally ... ruptured as I slept  (this is gross, I know).  Now it looks like an infected wound.  Anyhow, yesterday at my appointment I was trying to explain everything that was going wrong with me.  The doctor wouldn't even let me finish telling her my symptoms and said we should just focus on my pelvic area and stomach since those seemed to be my biggest problems.  I again tried to finish telling her all that had been going wrong, but she cut me off and again said that we should knock out one issue at a time.  I was, and still am, appalled at this.  Shouldn't she have listened to everything?  When I told her about my bowel movement she completely dismissed it, like it was normal that my poop is well... not normal.  I haven't had a solid bowel movement in months and even I know that's not good.  I feel like crying.  I feel unheard and worried that there is something seriously wrong with me.  She dismissed me, without explaining what the heck is on my nose, without addressing my very swollen tonsil, without even hearing about my night sweats or having no energy.  She said my swollen lymph node might be a hernia, gave me antibiotics for my nose (which she told me nothing about... I would like answers) and sent me on my way.  I also had an appointment with my GYN yesterday (they are in the same office) and he said I was very swollen 'down there' and thought I actually might be pregnant.  He had me take a test which came back negative.  He is having me go take an ultrasound and he took blood.  I was pleased with him, I felt he explained that part of my issues as best he could at this point and is doing something to figure this out.  But what about the other doctor?  Why is she just dismissing me like its nothing?  I feel like there is something wrong with me and shes just giving me basic antibiotics to fix it.  I'm upset and worried.  What can I do?  What could this be?  I know you aren't suppose to look online for help with your health, but I took the right step and went to the doctor.  So now I'm asking for help here in hopes that someone can lead me in a better direction than she did.

So I had my ultrasound today and found out I have two large uterine fibroids.  I'm happy to know these are benign tumors, but I'm saddened by the complications it seems I will have.  Because mine are so large and my symptoms are fairly serious, the doctor feels surgery would be the best option.  She did however mention there are other options and even some of the surgery options they have won't make pregnancy impossible.  I'm calling my GYN tomorrow to see how soon I can get in and go over my options and what he thinks is best.  The doctor that did the ultrasound (I'm not sure what sort of doctor she would be) also suggested I get a second opinion if a hysterectomy was my GYN's response.

Hello, Im sorry to read everything you've been going through, you poor thing! Its not nice at all, and i can understand when you mention your Doctor having no interest whatsoever!! I had the same thing with a few Doctors, i would tell them absolutely everything, symptoms etc, and i would get nothing back! & thats the worst thing ever, because then you get more worried.. The thing that i did was, i went to the A&E because i was suffering with a few things, and i got seen quicker and got more help from the higher up professional Doctors, and i felt more happier, because something was finally being sorted! So i know what you're going through! But i am not a Doctor, so i can't really give you any answers as to what is happening with you, the only advice i can give, is if you can get to the A&E where you are, you will get sorted much quicker! & finally things will be sorted for you! Im sorry i have no answers :( I hope things get better for you!     Good Luck & take it easy! Also don't listen to any Negativity, and don't give up!

You are having way too much, am sure u are exhausted. Good that GYN had something real to say.
What u have experienced with the doc that showed little to no interest in your dilemma, is what we have in common. Years ago after being diagnosed as having CRPS/RSD. I soon learned regular MD's were clueless & not interested at all. I needed a family physician. After being rejected the 6th time by 6 MD'S I was confused, angry and had started taking this personally. With each turn down I felt so worthless. Several times I turned to the internet for any answers or a hint for why none would be my family doc. Finally I found out that doctors in U.S. & Canada were doing this type of "pick & choose" patients.  It actually regarded people like you and I, forgot their term for it but we have more problems than the so called average patient, which is probably why that first doc was so indifferent towards you. Quite a number of docs are literally turning people away that, by the docs standards "are problem patients". We are too sick is what it really is and it isn't "unethical". No not at all. No laws are being broken by these doctors. This used to be rare among docs. Others may see & relate to it. Need to ask you, was this your first visit with the "don't care" doc? Also if this is your family doc, hold on to he/she for it will save you time looking for another one.
I haven't had a family physician since 2004. Just a psychiatric MD, that's all. I remember one doctor telling me that I didn't need one. I asked "what if I get sick? Won't I need a doc?" He said this and it didn't sound good "Just go to the Emergency Room ". I said that going to ER for Sinusitis sounded crazy. He again told me he couldn't help me. There is what I learned. Like I said earlier "It's pick & choose". I suppose this is still going one. We are too sick, we have too many problems. Almost can't believe it, I know. Take care & good luck.
