LARGE LABIA CYST

LARGE "infection" on right labia...went to Dr on Monday...she tried sticking a needle into the area to numb it and "drain" it, but I couldn't withstand the pain to get it numbed.  She gave me script for CIPRO and sent me on my way.  Four days later, I AM MISERABLE....any suggestions?

Get back in touch with your physician, the CIPRO may not be working and you may need a stronger antibiotic or another attempt to drain with more numbing medication.  If you choose not to talk with your doctor right away you should keep an eye out for a fever or any heat/redness of the area.

I'm sorry for what must be horribly painful for you! I'm assuming since its been four days and your still hurting this bad, that it could be from there swelling. This thing NEEDS TO DRAIN and the least painful way is to keep heat on it, as hot as you can stand it without burning your skin, this will pull the infection out, once this happens the pressure will subside. And you'll feel much better. If they didn't prescribe you pain medication, they must of figured that tylenol or motrin would do the trick, and if just one of these aren't helping, you can safely alternate them and this usually helps a great deal. Hope this was helpful. And I hope you feel better very soon.
