ECP as the name suggests should be taken only when there is an emergency such as your other methods or contraception failed e.g condom broke etc.. There is no frequency for ecp and should not be replaced with daily oral contraceptive pills. Ecp should be avoided as far as possible and taken only in case of emergency.. In your present case it's normal and would not harm but will cause a hormonal imbalance if you take it every month.. Ecp works in 2 ways acc to the condition..
1) If ovulation has taken place it does not allow fertilization hence preventing pregnancy.
2) If however fertilization has taken place it does not allow implantation of the fertilized ovum. hence it is advisable to take it within 72 hours of the act.

Emergency Contraceptive pills(ecp's) are safe however should not be substituted with regular oral contraceptive pills cause they tend to fluctuate hormone levels to prevent pregnancy.. The symptoms you are facing are side effects of the pill itself but i don"t think they should last long neither should there be any future carrying on of the effects. It might be a temporary hormonal disturbance.. Try not to worry yourself.. Eat healthy, try and  lead a healthy lifestyle like mild exercising, meditation and you should be back on track.. Good Luck..

You can take paracetamol as an analgesic. These symptoms may be due to the pill . it may cause a hormonal imbalance , you will regain that balance and will feel better as before ,.sooon..
