Yeast infection from too vigorous dry humping?

I have recently felt the return of a yeast infection (had not had one for about 4 months) after my partner started fingering me over my panties. It didn’t last long but they were pushed pretty deep inside. 3-4 days later I started feeling a burning sensation and later saw a yellowish thick discharge although it was during ovulation days which is abnormal. I used a 3 days clotrimazol otc treatment  plus 5 days cream but no change so far. Can it be that there was bacteria on my panties and it caused an infection?
Thanks

Sure, it could be. It likely depends on how recently you had put on fresh panties, and whether any stool had gotten in there. If his fingers touched you without a panty barrier, I'd suspect bacteria from his fingers.
