faint lines on pregnancy test

hi, i am due on my peiod today, i took a early detector test (predictor) 5 days before it was due and a very faint thin line appeared, i then re took a test the same make two days later, same thing only line was more visible but still thin. i took the third one today and also got a thin line but not quite as visible as saturdays. i have been experiencing cramps and nausea for aorund a week, and the last two evening i have been sick. since sunday i ahve experienced some spotting after wiping, it is usually brown. is this my period or am i pregnant, and do these faint thin lines mean a positive as i was under the impression i would get a clear positive on the day of my period. any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

The odds that you're having a period are next to none. Despite what dozens of women say, the likelihood of getting a period during pregnancy are very small, and only happen in rare cases. In terms to the question, it just depends on how your hCG rises. If it's slow, it will show a more faint answer. The longer you wait to test, the darker the line should get. It also makes a difference if you're testing later in the day or in early morning with first morning urine. It will have the highest concentration of hCG, so first morning testing is always advised versus doing it later in the day. Make an appointment and ask your doctor for a beta hCG test. It will give a more accurate number than a standard urine test will.

It could very well mean that you are pregnant. I know alot of people that have a period while they are pregnant so yeah I would say that you could possibly be that way. The only advice I have to share with you today my friend is to see a doctor and have a blood test taken

No you don't always get a clear one. I tested like 10 days late, took 3 of them and they were ALL faint lines. So it sounds like your PG. Call the Dr. to make an app. to confirm with a blood test.
