well, i went to the gyno..she wasnt very concerned at all. she told me she highly doubts it was a miscarriage. that i was probably just cramping bad and had some tissue pass...that it wasnt uncommon.

and as for the swelling and what not after sex...she thinks that it was a yeast infection. she gave me some applicator and i have to do that for 3 nights..

i really hope this all helps. ugh. i wasnt very impressed with her..but i guess she knows more than i do.

thanks for all your help.

Hun, you need to get in right now. You've already waited longer than you should have. If it was indeed a miscarriage then they MUST make sure everything is out or you could get a bad infection, hemorrhage, or worse. You really should not put this off another 2 weeks. If you have to go to an ER or an acute care clinic then so be it, but get it tomorrow if you can and come back and tell us what happened, ok?
Take care.

You'd still need to go to the doctor if it was indeed a miscarriage, even if you feel better today, because you could still have tissue or placenta or something left inside of you which could make you real sick or even worse if left untreated. They'd need to check you  to make sure you body expelled everything. If it didn't, they'd need to make sure you're cleaned out. It's called a D & C. It's important to do this and make sure you're ok.
At that time you should be able to find out if it was indeed a miscarriage.
I wish you the best.

I had the same thing when I was your age, except I had maybe 2 or 3 over the years, all while I was younger.  My MD was unconcerned.  She said it was not uncommon for big pieces of tissue to pass like that for younger women.

For the cramps, I find that if I take Advil once or twice during the week BEFORE my period, the cramping isn't as bad.  Also taking calcium with vitamin D every night at bedtime reduces cramping and may help you relax and sleep, too.  The only tampons adequate to control heavy flow for me are Kotex SUPER PLUS.

Is there a possibility you could've been pregnant and are experiencing a miscarriage?
You really need to get this checked out. Don't wait on this. Can you make an appointment to see a doctor tomorrow? Please let us know how you are doing. I wish you well.
