little painful vaginal tears/cuts

So I was wondering if anyone has had little cuts associated with yeast/fungal infections in their vaginal area.  I'm freaking out that I have herpes or something.  Basically I have had these little cuts right behind my vaginal opening.  They are about 5 to 10 millimeters long and a quite sore; they look like little tears.  They have lasted about 3 weeks at this point.  It started with 2 little cuts and I swear they went away for a day or two, but now there are 4 or 5 and they are more painful than before.  I thought I had a fungal infection because I have had a lot of yeast and fungal infections in the past and the symptoms were similar (slightly itchy and tender and sometimes painful).  I had this really terrible infection that lasted months and months where the doctors couldn’t find a medication to take care of it and at first I thought it was back.  But, I have never actually seen cuts before and am quite worried it’s something more serious.  I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and I know that I didn’t have herpes before I slept with him.  I am going to schedule a doctor’s appointment, but am losing sleep in the mean time and didn’t know if anyone else had experience with cut that last a couple weeks associate with vaginal yeast/fungal infections.

I just went to my gynecologist and I had the same symptoms, she said it was not a yeast infection, but a build up of yeast which is very common. She said the build up yeast created a fungus problem. I wash with summer Eve everyday and told her that, but she told me that doesn't help reduce the amount of yeast. She prescribed me a cream, but told me if I run out, to use jock itch cream from any drug store. She said it was safe to use and just as effective! Hope I could help.

I have had the same thing but i itch and itch them because i cannot take it. I got a yeast infection from antibiotics and did monostat and it went away then came back and now i have the little cuts more near the top of my vagina. I have no insurance so i cannot see a doctor and all i can do is buy otc stuff. it just *****. but its not herpes. herpes is sores that blister and hurt really bad. these are cuts that probably happened when scratching too much.

Thanks for the comments.  If anyone out there reads this and has something similar, I went to the doctors today and she said it was a yeast infection and sometimes little tears are associated with yeast infections.  So no need to worry.  (it might have been made worse by sex, but I dont think that was the main cause).

Having a yeast infection can make natural lubrication difficult.. Are you having sex? It could very well be that the infections are making it less lubricated adding more stress on the tender skin around your vagina during intercourse..
I've had similar tears, only because of having intercourse before enough lubrication.

They are itchy, but I'm not itching them.  They are painful too and I think I have a mental block against touching them so I don't scratch.  Have they stayed open with you even though you didn’t scratch them?

I am pretty sure I know what you mean about the little cuts as I've had them before and they are very, very, very itchy!  That's what I wanted to ask you - are you itching them?  Because if you are, those little cuts will re-open over and over and over again.
