Lump in Vagina

Hi,

So I've always been aware of a small bump inside, not on the labia, or around... INSIDE vagina, kind of deep too. I really don't know since when, but it's been there since I can remember. I noticed that usually it's low and painful during my period. It's probably about... an inch in diameter, with a small opening. I asked my sister about it and she said she didn't feel anything. And I did some research. Some pages says cysts? But I also read that it could be my cervix. But I figured that I could get a better, straight answer if I asked. If it is a cyst, should I worry? By the way, I am 20 years old, and I am sexually active, and we do protect ourselves.

Thank you!

Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your lump. What you feel could probably be the cervix or other growths such as cysts, warts, growths from the vagina/ cervix etc. You may consider getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or a gynaecologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management, if required.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
