please help im scared

ok this might seem sick but i am scared......ok i went to the bathroon today this morning and my stool was like a very very dark brown almost like a black color......i work out and i don't have any internal bleedings....so should i worrie or am i ok

I would wait to see if it happens again before getting nervous because it sound like it's nothing anyway. If you experience other problems or symstoms then I would contact a doctor but as far as what you said you should pass this in the next 24 hrs.

Also things like chocolate (if I eat too many Oreos for example) and Pepto Bismol will turn the stool extremely dark. Most likely if you eat a normal diet today your stool will turn lighter again. If it continues you can call your doctor and see about doing a hemoccult stool test. There are specific directions for taking that test but you'll see if you end up doing it.

um.....i eat meat and of friday i ate at a china buffet....about a 1-2 weeks ago i drank some blood by axident i had gotten cut on my arm by something and didn't want blood on the carpet so i put the wond in my mouth and i ran to the bathroom and by doing so i axidently swolloud some.......and no i am not taking an vitimins but i should be takeing some, i just keep forgetting. but other then that i can not think of anything that can be linked to this. so should i worrie or am i just fine and that i will be ok.

What have you been eating lately? Sometimes what we eat affect our bowel movements in texture and color. Is there anything else wrong that can link the two things together? Are you taking Iron vitimins? Iron tends to make a person's stool look like this.
