You might post the question again over in the Maternal & Child forum, with a title like "Pregnancy Rights at Work in the UK?" or something, to catch the eye of our British readers who might know the answer. (The M&C forum has a pretty big readership, and several of the ladies are from England.) Mention also the size of your company, in the U.S. at least this is a factor when it comes to the Family Medical Leave Act and its rights (small companies are not obliged to comply). Also you might mention how long you have worked for the company, in the U.S. again the FMLA does not apply if someone is a recent hire.
Hi Annie im from England , I am new to this and didnt realise i had to fill in my proffile sorry, will get onto it though
Where you stand and what to expect depends on what country you are in, and maybe on other factors too such as the size of the company. You did not fill out a profile, so it is not possible to know if you are in England, Canada, Australia, or the US, and of course every country (and in some places, even more local jurisdictions) has its own rules.
