Typically abortion doesn't affect fertility.  Conceiving, when you are really trying, can be much harder than people think.  It's like the stars and the moon have to line up.  Amazingly ---  so many get pregnant by accident but when they time it, it's harder than once thought.

Most people take 6 months to a year to conceive on average.  My own doctor will not discuss any issues with fertility until it has been a full year of trying.

So hang in there and don't get frustrated.

Here is what doctor's recommend to get pregnant.  First, track and understand your own cycle.  Day one of your period is cycle day one.  Count from there.  On day 10 of your cycle, begin having sex every other day (important that it is every other for sperm count) for the next 10 days.  That usually catches the 24 hour window of ovulation.  Good luck dear
