Hello!
I am so sorry it took me a while to update. But I think i have great news!
The dripping kept lasting all the way to july :(. For many reasons me and hubby couldnt have a chance to visit our gyno until the 29th of july. But something miraculous happened.
And it started as a coincidence! On around the morning of 24th of july, i was just cleaningnleftovers from my refridgerator and i found a lot of leftover lettuce and a large tomato from previously making sandwiches. At that time I was also hungry because i havent had breakfast, and i didnt want to let the veggies go to waste,so i decided to try and finish them all, then i had the idea of juicing them altogether. Not juicing actually, more of a smoothie.
I cut up all the lettuce and large tomato and mux with a cup and a half of water and blended it using my blender. It turned into about 3 glasses of smoothie. And i just drank them all.
After that, around 1-2 hours later there was a cramp in my below stomach area, and turned out my period blood started to flow more heavily. Ive had months of only small drips, i was surprised to see my pad just fill up! Well The cramp eventually faded the next day, but the period blood was still much and consistently coming out. Especially when i urinate. It was heavy until 27th of july and grew very light on 29th of july the day of my doctors appointment.
At my appointment, my doctor told me to do blood work, my blood work result was normal except my estradiol was a bit high. My period totally stopped on 30th of july. My doctor told me to come back on the second day of my next period. He did not find any organic abnormalities from his ultrasound check.
I kept drinking my lettuce tomato smoothie twice a day, but then my next period came on the 6th of august (about 1 week after my prolonged period have stopped). My doctor prescribed me profertil 5 mg to be taken on day 2-6 of my period. He said it is To help with my ovulation, since the length of end of my prolonged period to this period was quite short, there is still indication of anovulation. The period was very heavy and lots of mild cramps from day 1-3, i was scared that my prolonged period will start again, but to my surprise, it stopped on day 6! Like a normal monthly period!
And to this day, It has been 16 days since i am period and dripping free! If all goes well, my next period should be on around september of day 4-6.
I am still observing myself until september, and for now i am still unsure if it will be normal after that, but i do feel that the stop to this prolonged period all started after i drank my lettuce and tomato smoothie concoction!
If any of you out there are reading this, and is having the same problem and is desperately worried as i was.. please try this smoothie! Im telling you, i tried everything from tumeric milk to coriander water, nothing made it stop.. even if i ate the vegetables for sandwiches and making dishes, i guess the portion and nutrition that i needed wasnt enough as juicing it. Juicing helped me to drink a large helping of raw lettuce and tomato. So Try to Switch your morning and noon coffee and tea time to this smoothie, try it twice a day. Dont add sugar or salt, and dont mind the taste. But if you like salad, you wouldnt truly mind the taste of this bland juice. It was truly worth it for me!
Sorry for another long post, but right now i am truly happy with what i found, and i just want to share with any of you who is having the same problem as i was. I know the pain of worrying and waiting for months to just to make it stop.
Whoever you are in the same conditon as i was, dont give up! And never hesitate to go to the gyno and have it checked.
And i will still try to keep posted for my next update.
And to this day i drink my veggie smoothie everyday i hope this helps any of you!
Hm, that's confusing. The FIRST day of any cycle is the first day of your period. I wonder why your doctor said it was the day your period ended. Perhaps because it was all manipulated through ingestion of hormones. I don't know. But that is odd and now how I have ever heard it calculated. To me, it sounds like you have a major hormonal imbalance. This can cause ongoing bleeding and spotting that you describe (as well as the periods of lack of period that you have had). I would get blood work done to see what your hormone levels are. This is generally not serious but something to work through. However, it is not healthy to bleed for prolonged periods of time. Anemia is a concern in that situation. Could you get a second opinion from a different doctor? I'd consider that. good luck and please let us know what happens!
