Introduce him to a safer smoking maybe? Because smoking is a heavy thing to quit. buy electronic cigarettes online on the site that is my favourite place to buy vape supplies. I can give a foray into a vaping culture if necessary.
I have the same feeling!! I am 29 years old been smoking ,I dont know like 1 pack a day? For 5 6 years now. I feel like there’s a lump in my throat. I was stressed for the past few months and I started feeling this annoying lump especially when Im swallowing. So I am not sure if is because of stress or is there something serious going on in my throat? Im so depressed right now.
Hi, I am 22 and I'm having the exact same symptoms. This feeling has been occurring from time to time for a month now. I consulted a doctor and she said its reflux/GERD. Last week I didn't smoke and it was fine. Today I had 4 or 5 cigarettes and the lump feeling has come back. It would be very helpful if you could tell me what it was in your case.
Thanks for responding.. Finally somebody that understands what iam talking about. I have put many posts on this website manily in the heartburn community and everybody including me thinks its something to do with acid reflux... But you know?, it feels worse when i smoke or when i first wake up in the morning. I am wondering if its phlegm clogged in my throat? alot of post nasal drip issues are caused by acid reflux which in return is draining down in my throat and of course we all know that smoking is very irritating to the throat and stomach. i could have a combition of post nasal drip and acid reflux??
I get a similar feeling in my throat. I'm 18 and I've been smoking off and on for four years. Sometimes its just phlegm clogged up in the back of my throat, other times it happens if i have too many cigarette's in one day i get this weird feeling when i swallow feels like a lump.
I don't know if its the same thing as you. But i would just quit, easier said then done right?
:)
thanks for the info and by no means thats a sermon, thats what i enjoy is hearing others advice... i find the lump feeling bad when ive had stuff that causes acid. smoking just makes the lump feeling worse. a cesar is(maybe i spelt it wrong?) a drink mixed with clamato juice(basically tomato juice), vodka and different spices.its really good, but can be really spicy at times. i should know better cuz for sure that causes bad heartburn for me..
of course quiting drinking and smoking all together would be the obvious answer..Either way u look at it that type of stuff is bad for us all together..i guess at 25 you think your invisable
No, I didn't feel the lump you speak of when I smoked. I can tell you without a doubt my heartburn and stomach issues have almost disappeared since quitting smoking though. I don't drink at all, but I know alcohol will aggravate GERD especially binge drinking like you do. Just the two beers last night (I don't know what a cesar is) could be causing some anxiety which may nor may not account for the lump type feeling in your throat. If you visit the Anxiety forum you'll see this "lump" feeling talked about all the time.
Since you don't smoke TOO much :( and the drinking is sporadic, why not quit both for a week and see if your symptoms subside or even go away all together? I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but you're young and really should quit the smokes. Ok, sermon over :)
