Granulosa cell cancer(GCC) is a rare form of OVCA and thus has had very limited med/chemo trial as the # of patients is limited. GCC is a slow growing form of OVCA as opposed to the most common epitieal ovarian cancer. Most chemo drugs were made/intended for the fast agressive form of cancers, so the jury is stillout on wether to give chemo for low stage GCC. Since granulosa is from within the ovary and hormone specific some studies say to give medicine to control the patients hormones. Here in NYC they just recommend serial screening tests for my wife not even Inhibin A&B, but I have them done anyway just to keep an eye on any new growth.
What do you mean by screening like CT and MRI or PET SCAN. My doctor here is going for CHEMO BEP based but before that he asked to refer the doctors for lungs testing as this BEP has negative effect on lungs.
