Good morning... I can't believe another week has gone by and we're officially into summer now. I think it's going to be another hot day here - we've been getting into the upper 90's lately and yesterday I heard on TV that our heat index was something like 105°... wow - I thought the upper 90's was bad enough!! :-)
Anyway, there hasn't been a lot going on this week so it's pretty quiet. It's been too hot to work in my shop, but I do have several projects I need to get done so I may have to bite the bullet and go work there anyway. If I get started early in the morning before it gets super hot, I can get a couple hours in, anyway. I also have a lot of cleaning I need to do inside, so ideally, I could work in the shop when it's cooler outside and in the house in the air conditioning later in the day... the problem is that once I've worked outside and gotten hot, I crash when I come inside so the cleaning ends up going by the wayside.
Anyway, that's my dilemma for now; I'll get it figured out, at some point.
Weight-wise, I'm holding steady. Well, actually, according to the scale this morning, I'm down 0.2 lbs from last week, but today is the same as many days, I should be down, at least a pound by noon, then probably back up by a couple of pounds by bedtime... No, I don't weigh myself that many times every day, but I've done some experimenting, both, here at home and with my doctor's scales.
I'm trying to get back on a healthier eating plan- I'm still struggling with that after being up north when my MIL passed away. I can't believe how eating poorly changes the cravings and tastes for different foods. It takes a while to get out of that "mode" - at least, it does for me... I'm paying dearly for it, as well, in the form of acid reflux and other stomach issues. I would not have believed that a few days of poor eating could take so long to recover from.
Also, not helping, with the heat we've had here, I haven't been exercising (walking) like I should. Oh, yeah, I have a treadmill, but find it almost impossible to get myself into the room to use it every day... I'd rather be outside walking but I'm not getting myself outside to do that, either!! I know exercise helps with digestion, building muscle etc but there are some extenuating circumstances and it's just not working as easily as I'd like for it to.
Anyway, I have 4 pounds to drop in order to get back to where I was before we went up north, so I have to get with the program. I see my doctor again the first part of of August and I'd like to have them off by then; we'll see how that goes!!
So - that's my story, how about you? I hope you've met/exceeded your goals - or, at least, done better than I have. Let us know how it's going.
~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~
