Razor and hiv
Hello. The barber plucked my eyebrows without changing the tip of the razor. There was spot-sized bleeding. Before me, the razor had not been used for about 15-20 minutes. I read that the virus cannot survive outside the human body. However, the tip of the razor was kept airtight. Are there any risks? Or did it immediately lose its contagiousness because it came into contact with air when used before me?
Seems like you know that there are risks and non risks. But to say them again for you, the only risks for HIV are to have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or share IV needles to inject drugs. Injecting is very different than poking or touching. You had zero risk. Air WAS present and you can't get HIV from what you describe.
