Hiv from cotton ball

Will I get hiv from a cotton ball that has fresh hiv blood on it applied on the needle wound made during blood draw? Say it's applied in less than a minute from the previous hiv positive patient

You can't get HIV from a cotton ball with or without blood. The only risks for HIV are to have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or share IV needles to inject drugs. Air and saliva inactivate the virus so a cotton ball can not and will not transmit HIV. Ever. No risk.
