What were you Dx'ed with??? I am 37yrs old and have dealt with recurring bouts of SEVERE pain under my left rib cage for several years now. I have had my blood drawn multiple times and when blood work comes back normal the doctor looks at me like I'm some kind of attention seeking nut! The pain gets so bad that I can't even think! After writhing in pain for hours in the fetal position a couple of nights ago my husband finally loaded me into the car and took me in to the closest ER. The doctor was a complete arrogant jackA** but finally had the nurse inject Dilauded (sp?) into my iv and that FINALLY calmed the pain down to a 2...enough to be able to go home...started @ 4pm gradually got worse and worse, drive to ER at 1am-ish' to get treated like sh*t and put under more stress by the "doctor", released and back home able to breathe again by 4am-ish'. Not the first time I've had to ultimately go to ER for this thing...usually can just ride it out by getting off my feet & laying flat on the floor...this method seems to work less and less these days and attacks seem to be worse!!! The doctors don't have any solid answers to offer me. I'm NOT some crazy woman imagining excruciating pain! Does anyone out there know what this is or might be??? My biggest fear that lingers in the back of my mind is the BIG-C. Pain has been striking me down for over 10yrs. I can't take another attack like this recent one...please dear god, I just can't. Childbirth was less painful!!! And I was in labor for over 20hrs so I don't make that comment lightly. Anyone - help?!?
