Yes, it is worth reading so far..if you want a real good book on the history of the Grateful Dead I highly recommend "long strange trip"
by Dennis McNally (he was their publicist)...very well written..Ive also
read "searching for the sound" by bass player Phil Lesh which is also quite good, but a bit technical.. he's still playing some great music.
They all go into the drug scene quite a bit, but that was part of the whole thing..to me it's rather fascinating, the whole following that grew and how they kept playing essentially because they had this big "corporation" to support.
Garcia's drug story is tragic.

I love all the Jodi Picoult books I have read. It's been so long I can't remember any of them. LOL
So I guess I am the only one reading parenting books huh?
Just finished Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. Excellent read! Anything by her is outstanding. My next book- in- waiting is I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron- sposed to be light but came well recommended.
ewwwwwwww you have to tell me if its worth reading. I forgot that one. I wanted to read it. I am actually reading some ROLLING STONE magazines I found in my attic. Bags of them from the early 70's......pretty entertaining.........
