45 & 13 days and keeping clean...

well it has been 45 days of no painkillers & just 13 days of no pot (really going clean)..lol....well just got a new job and it's a pretty decent job and drugs are a big NO NO, so that helps out cause if i want to stay employed i can't use drugs cause never know when your day may pop up on the go take a drop sheet you know.well it seems like it will be a good job i was never able to get a job when i was using pills, to afraid i might miss out on a party you know, that was the addict in me and i had a couple chances and of coarse you would think well how did you do pills all the time ,well my friend was basically the bread winner in our drug taking endeavors ..and that's how it pretty munch went down for like a year and a half, probably more. but the years seem to fly when your high right, maybe that's just me .well just wanted to fill you all in on my status and so far everything seems to be falling into place and it's all thanks to med-help and you wonderful people on this forum so thank you and i appreciate what you did to help me out, i really do.god bless you all....jeff...

jeff my friend, i am proud of you.
i know what you mean about the job thingy. i would get jobs but do to my drug addiction i would either lose them or quit them. i have a decent job now and people depend on me so i cant do drugs. i took a drug test when i got hired and they stood there and watched the lines appear to make sure we passed. thank god i was clean.
i am only clean 20 days today but things are really much better. i dont know how i ever worked on pills. i could not do that now at all.
with the help of this place and na/aa i am able to stay clean. and of course the will to want to stay clean. oh yes and for the grace of God.
