Excerpts from a Cat’s Daily Diary:

Day 683 of my captivity:

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.

Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am. The audacity!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow– but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released — and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded!

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe…for now…

Well on the roosters...we had 3 roosters..one was sooo mean it chased the grands when they were playing outside..he chased everyone...except me...we had to give him away...the other rooster was getting cocky (no pun intended)...son gave him away..Now on the 1/2 dog....that is just what he is...rat terrier...he is scared of his on shadow..whines all of the time...he is tiny...so we call he the 1/2 dog...Mad ducks...sounds like the rooster..that crazy rooster would chase lawn mowers, 4 wheelers, anything...I have video of him chasing my 5 yrs old grandson...while grand was riding his 4 wheeler...we thought it was funny...but grand didnt...LOL I wish I could let my cats out to explore..but I dont want them running off..(they are our babies) or getting some rodent...and getting sick...they do love the sunporch...

Yes roosters have been known to get cocky lol Yes it is funny when seeing these crazy birds chasing something.. poor grand baby.. The mad duck hurt when he got a nip in.. nothing but a pinch really but man it would annoy me enough I thought of clipping his wings a few times and grounding him..except they can still run but would have made a better football lol I would never but the thought did cross my mind.. The sun porch sounds like a lovely place to sit :)) Seeing my son's cats as indoor cats I can see the benefits. not as much worry this is for sure and you get a chance to bond more it seems :))
I had 2 big dogs once.. olive and bilbo.. poor bilbo was so rejected and sad when I introduced a weinner dog to his yard he would hide from him and refuse to sleep next to him in the dog house they shared.. poor bilbo it was so sad weinner dog found a new home and restored bilbos dignity lol they can be so sensitive.. I think I like 1/2 dog already lol He sounds cute :))
