Memorial Day Again......Soldiers and Vets!

A Veteran is someone who wrote a blank check, payable to the United States of America, for any amount up to and including his own life.

So drag the BBQ's out, or go to the Lake, maybe catch the 500 race - - -  whatever you wish to do to enjoy the day. But please take just a second to thank a Soldier or Veteran for the freedoms which you take for granted. In ww2 10% of the population was in the service. That number is around 2% today. We owe so much to so few. Snap a salute to the Flag which we fly. See if you still remember our National Anthem. Just dont forget that a lot of sacrifices have been made in your name and the people that made those sacrifices deserve to be remembered.

Thanks Sara!  Although you scare me - reminds me of my High School sweetie....I could outshoot her with pistols, but with long guns and targets on the wing she shamed me! I would enjoy some trigger time with you....

Thank you Eagle for your service and Thank you to all the Men and Women that have given either their lives our part of it for our Freedoms.. the pains they deal with thru out their lives Is such a Big sacrifice and Thank you just does not seem adequate but it comes from my heart.. love lesa

Love this post! We all owe so much to our men and women in uniform! My nephew is in the Navy and currently deployed! He loves his country and his job! My sincere appreciation to all who have served and continue to serve and protect us and our freedoms! Thank you for this post!
