First sober accomplishment :)

Well I actually picked up my paints and brushes fir the first time since quitting!  Probably not the best work I've done but it's a start. Before I would just go and do, like my hands had a mind of their own. It was definitely harder, a lot more thought process. Hopefully it'll get easier :). Thanks to everyone who pushed me yesterday to do it!  :).  There's a pic of it in my profile if you'd like to see :)

I agree so could I.  And don't let yourself think about those 14 years.  All you have is right now.  Yesterday is over and tomorrow hasn't happened yet. :)

Pumpkin-the 6 years I referring to are the 6 yrs I lied to my self abt being sober. I've been an addict for abt 14 yrs. I've only started fully admitting to that this year. What a wasted 14 years

Pumpkin-how did I paint it?  That's not something I could explain. It's just something I do. Or get sober?  I had been on and off coke/speed for abt 6 years but i always had some sort of "legal" speed pill of some sort. I actually took 20 diet pills in one day!  I just went cold turkey abt a mnth ago. I slipped two days ago. So now I'm back to day two. No more slips...

Imdone-thank you so much. A painting should definitely be felt, in my opinion. I could stare into one all day.

Me too love all the darker tones and shades - not only beautiful to look at but you get to "feel" them too.  You are very talented. :)

And I love the shades of red - happy reds, blood reds, "Scorsese" reds, so intense and so rich.

Lol  That was most definitely my heart :) It's peeking it's way out of the haze (my past). I'm feeling really optimistic, this surely can only get better.

Your painting is beautiful - it's a little hard to see, but I thought I saw your heart in there.  Is that so?  :)  p.s. see, you don't need drugs, only your vision (and I think you know I don't mean your eyes. lol)
