Getting Old?

Do you remember being a kid and having all kinds of energy, not a care in the world and stress was being grounded for a day, lol. Life was all about having fun, yet most of us could not wait till we grew up. I remember saying I can't wait till i am older and can do what i want, what the hel l was i thinking, i would love to go back to childhood or early teens, life was so much different. Although I am not old (33) I have noticed some changes, maybe too cause I am clean and the past 5 or 6 years have been a blur, but damn i feel old somedays. Instead of waking up like i did as a kid and run for my box of cereal, i run for my coffee and chain smoke first hour of the morning, what a healthy start. I have noticed that my bones crack a lot more and old injuries seem to hurt again at times. I used to play hockey and run track and all kinds of sports, but now running up stairs i get out of breath and cramps, wtf. Now i am not out of shape completely, thank God for my job, but my stamina is not what it used to be ( only in one area has that improved) ha. I have also noticed i will say things like "i remember 20 years ago...............". I remember being 20 like it was yesterday, why am i talking about things from 2 decades ago? I sometimes have to use a heating pad for my back and i have moments of being a grumpy ole fart. What am I going to be like at 50? I hope i don't turn into one of those people that will keep your frisbee if it comes in my yard, complain about what's wrong with today's children and i really hope i don't ever have to wear depends, if that happens, they can pull the plug!!!

Good for you!!............but I will say some of those "more interesting positions" get harded to pull off!  I guess I need to step up my workouts and flexibility, huh??

I side stepped the getting older.thing I married a drop dead hot blooded Italian. He keeps me on my toes and other  more interesting positions. He is 11 years younger than me. Hey .it..works for me.I love kicking it on the Harley

I'm 46 and somedays feel like I'm 80 - but inside I feel so young!  LOL!!!!  Good post, as usual, Gizz!

I'm 58 and I have no idea how I got here.  Seems like just yesterday I was with my buddies during the summer, playing softball all day long..going in for dinner, and playing til it got dark..got older, married at 25 and and had a son from my then wife's previous relationship..life seemed to simple...then we had a son of our own, move to Colorado where life was perfect...why I ever left there I'll never know...another son was born and I was transferred to Phoenix for a year, then back to Colorado for a couple years...at this point my dad died, my grandmother died my youngest son had some medical problems but made it OK, and I was transferred to New England...oldest stepson started giving us grief and it got to where we devoted more energy to him than we did to our marriage...I had an affair, so did my wife...we divorced...I was single for 10 years..remarried an inherited 3 step kids now 25, 23 and 20...and 2 months ago lost my youngest son...and I sit here and wonder what happened to those days of playing baseball all day til it got dark..and listen to my surviving son trying to convince me to move to Georgia...where I want to spend what's left of my life....and now I have to convince my wife...it would kill my youngst daughter who has plenty of her own issues...

I don't know where I'm going with this...except...where has 58 years gone...seems like only yesterday

as for getting old- dont even get me started on complaining about everything that ails my old assed*body lol

Can you tell I am bored this evening? Ok i looked, LOL. I see tranquility overnight diapers for 22.95 and beside it they are selling fresh again oder spray haha. Hey MP, put on your diapers and and we can squirt you with the spray after you make a doo doo.
